About Alison

  • Before setting up Simply Sorted, I held a wide variety of posts at home and overseas - sales manager, researcher, conference organiser, fund-raiser, secretary - to name just a few. So I have masses of experience in organising all sorts of things. Plus the maturity to deal with nearly any challenge!
  • In 1999 I began by helping friends deal with piles of 'stuff' they couldn't face by themselves - following redundancy, bereavement or before moving home. The positive feedback on my decluttering skills encouraged me to launch commercially as a professional organiser - people liked my supportive and calm approach.
  • I studied French and German at Oxford University and have a wealth of experience in administration - so I also offer my services as a freelance PA - a natural extension to my de-cluttering services in the office.
  • Based in Bristol, Simply Sorted covers any area which can be reached within two hours' drive.
  • I hold an 'Enhanced Disclosure' certificate from the Criminal Records Bureau (police).
  • In my own life I de-clutter, recycle and keep my life as Simply Sorted as possible. My husband and I run a household and large garden and juggle lots of other voluntary posts and interests, so I understand how hectic life is!
  • David Allen's book 'Getting Things Done' inspires much of what I do. It enables people to regain control over their paperwork so they can get on with the things they enjoy.
